Mnicholson
I can't find any compliant sunbutter. Any suggestions?
Administrators ladyshanny Posted August 12, 2015 Administrators Share Posted August 12, 2015 If you're trying to find it to make Sunshine Sauce, you can sub almond butter for basically the same result.
Hannlib
I'm in the UK and use a biona one. I've also had imported Sunbutter. I think the organic version is just sunflower seeds nothing added. Either way I purchase on Amazon.
Moderators SugarcubeOD Posted August 12, 2015 Moderators Share Posted August 12, 2015 Maranatha makes a compliant Sunflower Seed butter... If you're in Canada it's available at SuperStore
Mnicholson
@Ladyshanny that's the only reason I wanted it, thanks! I've got plenty of almond butter. Seems like the flavor would be a lot diff, but I'll take your word for it.

karenmcl
Maranatha makes a compliant Sunflower Seed butter... If you're in Canada it's available at SuperStore I'm doing my first W30 and I'd really like to clarify something about nuts and nutbutters - if the ingredients are compliant (i.e. just nuts/seeds and salt), is it okay if it says that it's processed in a facility with peanuts? I checked on the Maranatha site and they do process peanuts at the same site as sunflower seed butter. I found a comment on the W30 FB page from 2012 that says this is okay, but I'd just like to be certain. If this is considered okay, my life just got a little easier I really want to try the Sunshine Sauce, lol.

The "processed in a facility with" warning is for liability reasons for allergy sufferers
