Guest
How does these two compare nutritionally? I am not on a whole30 at the moment, but these two are my two main fat sources.
Moderators Tom Denham 10042 Posted August 18, 2015 Moderators Share Posted August 18, 2015 Goat butter may be less allergenic than cow butter, but unless you clarify the goat butter, it is not acceptable during a Whole30. My quick reading found that goat butter lacks casein, but there are likely to be other goat milk proteins that must be removed (by clarifying) to make it acceptable during a Whole30. Coconut oil is fine as is.
Munkers 925
Both fats would be primarily saturated fat. Coconut oil contains medium chain fatty acids which are nice to have in your diet. Really, the important things would be a variety of fat choices and avoiding inflammatory seed oils.
Guest
Thankyou i tolerate both well and am happy to carry on with them when not whole30-ing if there's not nasties in the goats butter!
