Jenlhta
Hi there, I have UC as well as Adrenal Fatigue. I'm on day 9 of my first whole 30 with my main goal being to control my UC and get my adrenals going again. I love vegetables but the majority, cooked or not, cause stomach distress, with the exception of potatoes. Can I get some opinions on what a good balance of these vegetables looks like in a day? Would a serving of sweet potatoes at M1 and M3 daily be too much? Thanks for your feedback
jmcbn
Our minimum recommendation is for a fist sized serving of starchy veg daily. As to whether that is too much, or not enough for will depend on what stage your Adrenal fatigue is at...I'm not a medical expert but my understanding is that if it's stage 3 then more than that would be fine. If it's stage 1 or 2 though you don't want to be spiking your blood sugars (in the same way that diabetics need to be careful of their carb intake) and so twice a day would be too much...Do you have a confirmed diagnosis? Jenlhta
Thank you for the feed back! The low Arenals were diagnosed thru Saliva Testing about a month ago. I don't recall what stage they were just that she said they were very low.
jmcbn
I'd start out with a fist sized serving a day (maybe with meal 2 or 3) & check your result with whoever did the test as it can make a big difference to how you need to treat it.
