JillF Posted August 24, 2015 Share Posted August 24, 2015 I had tendon and ligament repair on my ankle - have been using advil to reduce pain 2 times a day. Will this mess me my 30 day program up to much if I take? I do not want to take pain meds, so this is the alternative. cayenne Posted August 24, 2015 Share Posted August 24, 2015 What did the doctor/surgeon recommend? How many weeks/months post-op are you? This plan has helped me when I was trying to decrease inflammation due to a degenerative hip(which is now a new one!) At that time, I was taking anti inflammatories as well-RX by MD and Tylenol over the counter. Nothing hard core. If you are recently post op-or even later-ice and heat are your best friends. Rotate ice then heating pad every 5 min for 2 total. and elevate. Ice and heat are W30 compliant:) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
JillF Posted August 24, 2015 Author Share Posted August 24, 2015 I am 4 months out, but slow healing - getting out of bed and by end of day a lot of swelling and pain. I do use ice, heat and stem. Just not sure when pain is at a 5 or 6 if it is okay, and will not throw me off. I am not a pain wuss - I hiked on torn ligaments for 3 days and put off surgery for 6 months.
