Weswee03
Hi everyone I'm on day 4 of whole 30 and doing well so far. I start the process for egg preservation a week from Saturday which includes a cycle of IVF. Haven't found my guy, eggs are healthy so just want to have the option later in life. I know my hormones are going to be out of whack with the treatment but also know treating my body better will only help me through this. Anybody else gone through this and willing to share what to expect? Thanks in advance and I love the support and positivity in these forums!! Link to comment
Whole30 Certified Coach littleg Posted August 26, 2015 Whole30 Certified Coach Share Posted August 26, 2015 I'm in fertility treatments right now. I'm not doing W30 at this time but I'm still 90/10 paleo/primal. No IVF but orals and injectables for follicle stim and ovulation. To be honest I haven't noticed much at all. I think there is more hormone manipulation involved for IVF though. The women coming out of egg retrievals at the place I go seem a bit uncomfortable after the retrieval and I always hear the discharge teaching about meds for cramping but they all walk out on their own 2 feet Doing W30 through this certainly can't hurt - eating well never does! Weswee03
Thank you for the perspective!! I think I have all kinds of meds coming up and he the doc already pre warned me about the pain. Oh joy! The needle for egg retrieval does not look pleasant. Link to comment
sweetheartyparty
We are doing IVF at the end of the year and will be our second attempt. I have been eating badly since my last failed attempt and gained half a stone so I have now decided to cut out all the crap and give myself the best chance of getting a positive result. I am starting today hopefully my first W60 which should be just before start of stimms. I completed a whole 30 a couple years back with excellent results. I found the whole process of ivf not bad at all. I was on the short protocol which is a bit kinder for the body (no down regging). Egg collection was easy and the sedation made me sleep through most of it. I was a little sore afterwards but it just felt like af cramps. Good luck and I hope you get lots of great eggs x Link to comment
PepperD
I maybe didn't time this right and will have a frozen embryo transfer in week 4 of this W30. I figure if it works I am going to have to keep it up the entire pregnancy! Link to comment

The hard part is declaring that enough is enough and moving on like you are! Link to comment
