sidneymay3
Hey Whole30ers, So one of my friends is having a Birthday celebration at a local German Restaurant, Mr Dunderbak's, which I love. I have been loyal to my Whole30 program for about 16 days now and I have no urge to cheat. Saying that I have looked at the menu and everything seems out of the question. I was wondering if someone could help me find a good choice for a meal there. Below I have attached an image of the menu. Thanks in advance Sidney a loyal whole30er
GFChris
Since once of the sandwiches is grilled chicken, maybe you can get grilled chicken (dry grilled or in olive oil) with only salt and pepper for seasonings, and some steamed veggies? I'd rather not eat than have to settle for that at a German restaurant.

Zyriel
Maybe you eat before hand and join them for the socialization? If you think you will be able to not nibble on things. I also noticed Turkey breasts on the sandwich menus if you find that more appealing, I know I do.
Hannlib
I personally just wouldn't go and would have a belated birthday meal with my friend once w30 and reintros were done.
Moderators ultrarunnergirl Posted August 31, 2015 Moderators Share Posted August 31, 2015 You definitely can't tell from the menu what is compliant. Gotta have an in-depth conversation with the staff. You never know when a restaurant will use soy oil, breadcrumbs or flour, sugar in some form ... it's really, sadly common.
