newwhole30er
I ordered the Klaire Therbiotic Complete probiotics from Amazon and they came without an ice pack. I read that they require refrigeration and need to be shipped with an ice pack to maintain potency. Reading the reviews this seems to be typical for ordering this product from Amazon. 1. Is this correct that if they have been shipped with no ice pack they have lost some potency? And to what degree? 2. Does anyone know of an alternative source for buying these that will ship properly? Tina R
I get them from my natural path and they always ask me if I will be near a refrigerator within an hour. If not they will give me an ice pack. I would return them. You might want to order them from a natural path if possible or maybe call the company directly and see if you can order from them. Chachers04
In general probotics are ok at room temp for even a day or two before they start to lose potency. That said, you don't know how long they were out of the fridge before you got them. Also when mailing they can get very heated past room temp. newwhole30er
Yeah, it wouldn't have been room temp...I'm in AZ, it's boiling here! I don't have a naturopath, maybe someday but right now too expensive. Any other ideas? Or other good probiotic options that I could get at, for example, Sprouts? StaceyF
I buy mine at Whole Foods. Refrigerated and multiple formulations and price ranges to choose from.
newwhole30er
StaceyF, do you mean you buy Klaire there? If not, which do you buy?
