sugarfreedragon
I'm addicted to food (mainly sugar). I'm setting out on a 5 day detox quest and I. Will. Do. It. and breathe my sugar free fire in victory at the end of it. Spreading my wings and taking off... 1, 2, 3, here I go!
jmcbn
You realise this is a 30day programme though, right?
sugarfreedragon
Yes, of course. It's going to be easier with smaller goals because the first days are hard for me (I've attempted this many times and haven't gotten far).

sugarfreedragon
I need consolation and encouragement. I am a complete food and sugar addict. If I don't eat whatever and whenever, I get cranky. My mind just doesn't want to get around to accepting that I need to sacrifice this immediate gratification in order to achieve true happiness; it keeps telling me that I'll always be miserable if I don't get my comfort foods. (Even though I'm miserable with my current lifestyle as well). I'd like to hear from other people who have worked hard and sacrificed their immediate comfort and fought their cravings and even been through absolute misery doing it but ended up successfully changing their lifestyle and retrained their taste buds to enjoy their foods and not crave sugar and junk.
