Spencer1
As a 30 year old chef in a big city, being healthy has been almost "impossible" with so many temptations everywhere. The excessive drinking, multiple energy drinks, refined foods, tons of sugar, a load of bread...it hasn't done wonders for my body, internally and externally, my confidence, or my relationships. I started the whole 30 yesterday, choosing to commit. I'm not known for my self control but I have to say, I went to the farmers market this morning and got farm eggs, green beans, Maine blueberries and heirloom sweet potatoes. I'm really looking forward to feeling the changes of streamlining my way of life. It's also only 11:55am so let's hope for a smooth day of good choices! Spencer1
Following up on day 2: Breakfast was stewed tomatoes (from my lunch prep) with and egg, cilantro, cumin, tomatillo and delicata squash. I made braised green beans in a spicy tomato sauce, ate that for lunch with chicken. And for dinner I had egg salad..some...eh I don't remember. I do definitely have the head ache but am still pretty proud of my lack of dairy and glutton. My body is a little out of whack but I slept really well. Before I left work last night, as I was changing, I put on my pants and they felt tighter! I stand on my feet for 12-14 hours a day but I was scared. Hopefully it's just my body reacting to the good foods. I feel like my hands are less swollen, I slept better...now to day 3!!
