WholeMama
I know I saw this either in the book or on here and now I can't find it. What is the serving size for starchy vegetables, and how many per day? And starchy vegetables include sweet potato, winter squashes, white potato etc.? Trying to make sure I eat enough but in the right amounts. I do exercise daily and so long runs on weekend so know to up them for that... Thanks! missmary
We recommend starting with one fist-size amount per day for a sedentary person, and increasing that (two fist-size amounts is good) for people with mood issues, people who exercise, or people who just plain feel better having a little bit more. Personally I find it works better to keep the starchy veg to meals 2 and 3, avoiding it at meal #1 most days, but YMMV.

JenX
also remember to include some as your post-workout meal along with some lean protein. especially on your long run days!
