Real Food Y'all
This appears to be a great option. You can order burgers low-carb-style in a lettuce wrap, and the patties don't have soy like some places. Great for us in Mississippi where we have big fat ZERO Chipotles! http://www.backyardburgers.com/sites/default/files/allergens-by-ingredients.pdf I have to be out of town around lunchtime today, so I have a little container of homemade mayo in a little lunch cooler so I can get a burger and dress it myself. Administrators ladyshanny Posted September 23, 2015 Administrators Share Posted September 23, 2015 Hi Amanda, The allergens list is nice but unfortunately it doesn't give a green light to any of this food. You still need to ask about sugar (not an allergen therefore not listed) and cooking oils.
Real Food Y'all
True about the sugar, but I thought we could relax a little on the seed oils when dining out? It just boggles my mind to think that anyone may put sugar on a burger patty.... Gross. But stranger things have happened in our food supply. Administrators ladyshanny Posted September 23, 2015 Administrators Share Posted September 23, 2015 You can relax on canola and sunflower when dining out. You can never relax on soybean oil and the allergen list was by item, generally not including cooking oil. You have to ask.
Real Food Y'all
Yikes - I assumed no soy meant no soy cooking oil was used on the item. I did contact the company on Twitter and they confirmed their burger patty ingredients are just Angus beef, salt, and pepper.
