theotherjaredallen
Day 16, walking into a meeting, and completely without thinking I grabbed a Lifesaver out of the bowl... and had it. Am I done?
Administrators ladyshanny Posted September 23, 2015 Administrators Share Posted September 23, 2015 That sucks! You'll want to look at your reasons for starting the Whole30, what that lifesaver and the behaviour meant to you. Then read this article and decide for yourself. theotherjaredallen
Thanks, ladyshanny. Just to be clear, this was not a craving or an impulse slip; this was just a total brain fart. I don't chew gum at all, and I have a mint *maybe* once every other week in a similar situation -- when they're sitting in a bowl and I think to myself, "Oh hey look, mints." So what it meant to me was nothing more than I'm tired and I clearly wasn't thinking. And now I'm just looking for a damage assessment.
kirkor
I think sugar falls more in to the category of psychological impact as opposed to physiological. Whereas something like gluten, soy, carageenan, or dairy could definitely screw with your guts, sugar is more apt to screw with your mind. See all the discussion about starving the Sugar Dragon, etc.
