MeriK
My Whole30 ends the Thursday before Canadian Thanksgiving. I will be starting my re-introductions, but haven't decided yet what my first introduction will be. If the turkey is stuffed with a bread stuffing, can I eat the gravy made from the drippings, or will it contain the gluten from the bread? Will the turkey itself be an issue if it has been basted with the juices?
QuilterInVA
Personally, I wouldn't eat either. I have celiac disease and I've done it before with terrible results so I know it does get into both. How would the gravy be thickened? Arrowroot powder? Since you will be doing reintos before the day, why not intro grains and see how you react then you'll know for sure if you can eat it or not. MeriK
Thanks!!! It's good to know that it does affect the turkey. I would be using arrowroot powder for the gravy. I am gluten intolerant, (thankfully I don't have celiac disease), so I was going to continue to avoid all grains.
