Just starting today (Sept. 28th) for the first time! I am looking forward to starting new, healthy habits. I followed a Paleo-like diet a few years ago, but it's been a while. Let me know if you have any tips on being successful with this :)

I also started yesterday! This is my second Whole30. This time I'm doing it with my boyfriend. So far so good since we've got all of our meals planned out for the week. Since I've already got one W30 under my belt I guess I have a few tips.

1. Never run out of eggs! They are the easiest go-to protein and its devastating to run out of them unexpectedly.

2. Explore new recipes! It is so easy to get into a recipe rut and start to get bored. Experiment with different ways to make eggs (I love Michelle Tam's Thai Omelet from Nom Nom Paleo). I also found a really awesome Swedish meatball recipe make with coconut milk. Its really easy to get bored or just sick of cooking which takes me to my next tip...

3. Make enough of a recipe to get at least 2 meals out of it. There is a lot of cooking involved with W30, but if you make a big batch of something delicious then you can eat it for several meals. Lunches are the hardest for me so leftovers are lifesavers!

Oh and a miscellaneous tip: get some cauliflower and make it into 'rice'. I make a bunch of it and threw it in the freezer for this round of W30. Its a great pallet for things like stirfry or stuffed peppers. Its a great way to bulk up a dish with veggies and its super easy to make.

I'm excited about this round. I had some great results with my last W30, but didn't do a great reintroduction because I was on vacation right after I finished. So this time I plan to do a very strategic reintro once I'm done.

Good luck! Let me know if you try any good recipes!

Thank you!! Awesome tips, I'll definitely be sure to keep lots of eggs around, luckily I eat a lot of them anyways so shouldn't get sick of them. I tried my scrambled eggs this morning with salsa and avocado, I didn't know how it would turn out but it was surprisingly delicious.

Physically, I feel fine so far (on day 2) with the exception of a headache.

Quick question, how do you make the cauliflower rice? I would really like to try it!

There is a recipe for it in the Whole30 book, but honestly, I think its easiest just to put some fresh cauliflower in the food processor and just pulse it a few times to make it into "rice sized" pieces and then I just saute it for a few minutes in some oil. Be sure not to let the food processor go for too long because it doesn't take very long at all to get them to the right size. Also, don't over fill your food processor.

Let me know how it turns out!
