It seemed a bit confusing to me that fruit is fine but blending it isn't... Blending isn't okay because liquid food leaves you feeling less satiated than solid food as it is the act of chewing that kick starts the digestive process. Also, smoothies tend to be fruit heavy and can cause spikes in blood sugar when we are working at stabilizing it. The recommendation is for two pieces of fruit per day, with or as part of a meal, although many people chose to not bother - especially if they are battling a sugar dragon as it can keep the cravings alive.
