Moderators Tom Denham Posted October 5, 2015 Moderators Share Posted October 5, 2015 It depends upon the ingredients. Some almond milk is acceptable. Some of it is laced with crap.
Mistyfire
Trader Joe's has its own store brand that is compliant - at least here in CT. Read the label, though, as I've heard even their store brands have regional differences.
middlesister_heatherb
Hi, Whole Foods has an Everyday 360 Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk. I read all the ingrediants, and it seems like they are all compliant (doesn't contain Carrageen). But there is one ingrediant, Gellan Gum (a Polysaccharide). I read the chemisty information, and don't know if this is a form of sugar (not natural??) Can you help? Is this ingrediant compliant?
Moderators ShannonM816 Posted October 6, 2015 Moderators Share Posted October 6, 2015 Gellan gum is okay. You might find the Common Additives Cheat Sheet helpful for questions like this.
