Zoltariel
By reading it I would like to assume, "no" but figured I would ask anyway. I use a little bit of this in my coffee every morning and today is my first day with The Whole 30. I have my coffee black over ice every morning and I already don't really do dairy so that isn't the issue. Just finding something to give it a little extra love if this doesn't work. Why it has dried cane syrup in unsweetened is beyond me. :/
jent103
Definitely no, due to the cane syrup (sugar), carrageenan, and I would think the pea protein too. Why not just try regular coconut milk?
jmcbn
^ This. And yup, the pea protein is out too. Have you read the Rules & the 'Can I have...?' list....?
Zoltariel
I figured as much! I will just do regular coconut milk. I'm still baffled on why SO adds in the cane syrup. It's silly. This was the only questionable thing I use. Thanks! <
SpunkyBug
I'm guessing they add in the cane syrup because people have been conditioned to expect their food products to be sweet. Especially within the context of putting something in your coffee.
Zoltariel
True! Apparently this is really the only added sugar I have been consuming then. I tend to avoid any kind - even before discovering Whole 30. I actually can't even taste the sweetness in this creamer. Which is interesting. Prairie Farmer
Hi. I just started the Whole30 program and was worried about my coffee situation. I've been one of those "sugar and cream with a little coffee" sorta coffee drinkers. In times past I've used the coconut creamer you posted here to try and be "less bad!" but I found I didn't really like it that much compared to real cream and sugar and went back. So far, however, I've been feeling quite satisfied with my coffee regime so far which has included freshly ground GOOD coffee beans and then I bought some real coconut cream. As in it was in the can, but it was, as they said "mostly cream." (and it is, a bit of coconut milk/water on the bottom). I put a spoon full of that in my coffee and it is very creamy and sweet enough from the coconut to be very satisfying.

Coffee rituals can be some of the hardest to break and you went and just blew it out of the park right at the start! Good work!
