lauralees84
All set to start tomorrow (Oct 12). This will be my second W30, I did one last year and felt fantastic, however didn't do the reintroduction phase and have slipped back into old habits. Have attempted 3 times in the last few months to do a W30 but have been flaking out before the first week is over (mostly due to not being prepared!). However this time I have planned and prepped and am feeling determined

ehtStone
My husband and I, and my daughter are starting our first ever Whole30 tomorrow! We are excited and nervous! Hoping for great results as far as sugar addiction is concerned and really hoping to change how we feel about food in general. Want to go from living to eat to eat to live. Also my daughter is in her early 20's and having some health problems related to being overweight and emotional attachment to food. Hoping to change this and get her feeling healthy again. TCans
Hi everyone! I'll skirt over to the OCT 12 page too. No harm in participating in two spaces. Like you Lauralee, I've been through this once hardcore back in June/July, since then have wavered and mostly stuck to the program but have been slipping a lot lately. A couple of failed attempts and am now determined to do 30+ days here. I have 48 days before I hit a HUGE bday milestone and want to feel as good on that day as I did when I completed the first Whole 30. I know the daily support in the forum helped me the first time!! David- Hello - don't worry about not liking to cook. I find most of the recipes pretty easy and if that doesnt work for you, it's easy to make chicken, burgers, etc. And when that gets boring you'll probably want to try something more complicated and satisfying. Happy Day ONE everyone!! -Tracey

David - I used to hate cooking until I did my first Whole30 but having to prepare all my meals from scratch meant I had to, and I ended up coming to really enjoy it. I think the simplicity of the recipes and the fact it's quite hard to mess up meat and veg really helped me get over my kitchen aversion! I had sweet potato hash and poached eggs for breakfast, tuna salad with avocado for lunch and chicken legs and roasted veg for my tea. First day under the belt! DoLots
Hi Everyone! I'm on day 2 (started on the 11th) of my first Whole30. I'm really surprised that the headache arrived after only one clean day. Wow! I also am surprised at how often I'm thinking about food. I'm guessing that the first week or so is a total mind game. I made a couple of meals last night to get me through the beginning of this week. Trying my best to set myself up for success! Good luck everyone! Caleighwilson
Hi all! I joined the Colombus group as well... BUT this is my first Whole30. On day 2 as of... well today For breakfast I had coffee w/ some almond milk (checked all "ingredients"), egg whites (allergic to yolks), compliant bacon, 1/4 of an avacado, & a good amout of cucumbers. Right now I feel in a bit of "survival mode." Working long days - early am until 11:30pm so I'm looking forward to tomorrow when I'll have more time to go back to the store and get more items!! For lunch I'm having a turkey "burger" w/ homemade guac & veggies. I'll also have 1/2 of an apple with some almond butter... is this ok? For dinner I'm making a pulled chicken reicpe from the Whole30 instagram account and am really excited about that!! Can't wait to hear all about everyone's Whole30 process! aipaleo
hi, all 10.12ers (and friends), sending lots of supportive vibes to all. this is my second whole30, and am excited to be doing it in conjunction with the auto-immune protocol (hence the aip moniker ) for my hashimoto's/hypothyroidism. hardest part? giving up that glass (or two) of red wine at night, when making dinner, cleaning up, and putting the five kids to bed. good news is i'm starting this go-round w/ a cold, so have absolutely no taste for said wine. hope all are feeling good and having fun--cause nerdy as this may be, it IS fun! s
