Amogino
I think I know the answer to this one, but the forums have helped me get through my Whole30. I felt great, signficant improvement in skin/body function, attitude/mood, energy and even lost a few lbs that were just not coming off no matter how hard I worked out and how diligently I counted calories. Firm believer in Whole30; but just as we hit Day 30, a virus hit my family and I started feeling crappy. Not full-blown sick like the kids, but crappy and feeling like it's coming on or my now properly functioning body is fighting it off. I have no problem waiting for reintroduction (in fact, been contemplating the slow roll reintroduction) - but wanted to make sure that is your advice as well. I'm not sure if I'm battling a virus I'd know what is food - and what is the virus. I'm anxious to try out my morning greek yogurt with a few berries, but also don't care if I wait another week. Your advice is welcome!
jmcbn
Yep, I'd hold off until you're felling better so as you get a true picture of how each food makes you feel. Dairy for instance can cause significant congestion in some but if you're fighting a virus you may already be congested with excess mucosal build up - there's no point in muddying the waters further by throwing a new food into the mix.Hope you're feeling better soon & in the meantime try sipping on bone broth & getting stuck into some good old fashioned chicken soup to help with the healing process....
