Guest
I am struggling to keep my vegetables varied whilst following a low fodmap diet, but want to substitute the below with vegetables of similar carb/nutritional value where possible. what can I substitute: butternut squash kidney beans sweet potato (the allowed serving fodmap-wise doesn't fill me up) mange tout asparagus for? Moderators Tom Denham Posted November 2, 2015 Moderators Share Posted November 2, 2015 Here is the low Fodmap shopping list: http://whole30.com/downloads/whole30-shopping-list-FODMAP.pdf The veggies highlighted in blue are the nutritional powerhouses. Avoid the ones in grey. Eat the ones in black if you like them. There is no limit on how many veggies you can eat if you are hungry. Make sure you eat at least one or two fist-size servings of the starchy ones every day. You can eat more if you like. Beyond that, you do not need to be concerned with nutritional value/carbs, etc.
