WHAT THE HECK?!?! Day 16

Ok guys, I need your help.  It's my Day 16, and I feel REALLY off today?!?!  I wasn't honestly expecting Tiger Blood (I'm going to end up doing a Whole60, because of how poor my eating was before Whole30), but this is ridiculous.  I was hungry for lunch at 11am (very unusual) and had to lay down for a nap at 12:45 because I could NOT keep my eyes open.  Food today so far:

Meal 1:
Leftover beef stew with two cups of baby carrots and mushrooms.  1 large fuji apple.  Handfull of cashews.  1st liter of water.

Meal 2:
Pork, cabbage, and carrot stirfry.  Whole avocado on the side.  2nd liter of water.

I'm dragging butt, and cannot even fathom making it to the gym today.  It feels like day 6, not day 16!  My eating today has not been atypical for me in the least.  Only change is I ate leftovers for breakfast, instead of hardboiled eggs as my main protein.

What do you guys think?

Your meals look good altho it's hard to tell portions but if you're following the template then that's good.  Are you close to getting your period? Lots of women feel the need to eat a LOT more (sometimes double) in the week leading up to and of their period... it can also cause exhaustion...

Any unusual stress all of a sudden or lack of sleep?

The period thing is tricky, because I have an IUD and I'm having complications,  and have been bleeding for 4 months straight basically.  My doctor is giving me an ultrasound next week to figure out what the problem is.  So I have no idea where I am hormonally, unfortunately.
As for stress... Stress is constant for me.  The last few days were very stressful at work (I'm a nurse), and in my personal life (this doctor stuff is freaking me out a bit), but today has been very chill.  And yesterday I was able to work out and get a bunch of chores done no problem, so I wouldn't attribute it to anemia from the bleeding.

I feel like I went back to the phase where my body was screaming for quick sugar.  But I have absolutely no reason for that to be happening now.

Well stress, especially constant stress should not be discounted... perhaps today was the day your body ran out of reserves and it needs more rest and more food to fuel it.

When you work out, do you properly fuel before and after? The other thing is that nutrition is cumulative so if you've been skimping in the past few days due to stress, then it could have just caught up to you.  Eat proper template meals until you're full and if you find you need a mini meal between (like you're hungry enough to eat steamed fish and brocoli) then definitely honor that your body needs more fuel and nourishment.

Also, just a note on your doctor stuff, I know how that feels... I went through a two year period (duration, not period) of going back and forth to doctors and specialists etc.... trying to figure out what was going on... turned out to just be a long blip of weird hormones so don't panic until there's something to panic about okay?  You'll be okay!

You know, today is the first day in a over a week that I haven't had a sweet potato with either meal 1 or meal 2.  Interesting observation!!  I was trying to not overdo it on the starchy veggies since I am not an athlete or crossfit-er or anything.  But maybe my body needs it?

And thank you SugarcubeOD for the kind words.  I'm trying to not freak out.  There's a breast cancer vs pituitary tumor idea that got put out there by the doctor, and I've been really messed up in the head over it ever since.  I'm only 35.  My boyfriend's mom died of breast cancer when he was only 12, and I cannot imagine putting him through that again.  But yes, no need to worry until there's something to worry about!

Starchy veg can help with stress. :) Stress hormones can lead to our body mobilising glucose into our bloodstream for energy... so it makes sense why we are hungry and crave carbs when stressed. Starchy veg won't have a negative impact like reaching for simple carbs will, though. Hope that you start to feel better soon!
