Varceri
Hi I didn't really know what to call this thread as my symptoms are widespread and varied. After reading the book I think possible chronic systemic inflammation is the root cause of my problem and is the main reason I started the w30. I'm on day 6 and my low back and joint pain is actually worse not better. I was just wondering if this is a common thing; that this particular problem gets worse before it gets better? Moderators Tom Denham Posted November 15, 2015 Moderators Share Posted November 15, 2015 Some joint pain is a result of systemic inflammation, but bulging discs are a mechanical problem about which you should seek the guidance of a qualified physician. What you eat will not cure a bulging disc. The beginning of a Whole30 is stressful and you may be feeling more pain due to the stress of making big changes in your diet. Tina R
I had a ruptured disc in my back. I actually had to fix my teeth to fix the pain. Also I have to be gluten free or the pain comes back for weeks. If you have gone to a traditional doctor you may want to check out a natural path and a dentist/orthodontist that uses the Kois method for correcting your bite. Your natural path may be able to recommend a dentist to you. It was a long process but I feel 85% better. I don't think I will ever be back to 100%. MeredithK
I recall thinking my joint pain was worse in the first week or two. Last week I mentioned to my husband I'd do a Whole60 with the hope I'd get some pain relief. Yesterday (day21) I noticed very little joint pain in my shoulder and knuckles. They're the most troublesome for me. Today I feel even better...it makes me laugh...AMAZING!!!
Varceri
Thanks guys. That's encouraging. I'm day 9 now and the hip knees and ankles are my main problem. The aches are subsiding somewhat so in hoping it will only get better. Tina that's very interesting, seems like a very odd correlation tho!?!? I didn't know ruptured discs could recover? I hope they can, I only have 1 minor 1 in l5. Funnily enough I had my wisdom teeth removed (and some jaw bone) last year and I swear my bite has changed.
