nadia_tries
I've had several false starts with the Whole 30...I'm talking about lasting a day or two before bailing. The common theme in all of it was that I wasn't prepared, and I made lots of excuses for myself. ("I don't need to be this strict...I eat clean already...I am too busy, stressed, fill-in-the-blank to do this right now...") I also never actually read It Starts With Food, only skimmed it because, "I knew this stuff already." And it's true that I did know a lot of the info, in bits and pieces, but reading it FINALLY in the whole context of where I am now, with all the tough love and information in the book, and actually letting all of the words sink in, it all finally clicked. The book brought me to tears because so much of it described where I am now, despite "knowing better." So, I'm committing to starting the Whole 30 on November 30th. I am using this weekend and week ahead to prepare. Throw out the junk that has somehow found it's way back into my house, prep meals, prep my living spaces, prepare myself! I would love to not do this alone. I've shared with my friends that I'm doing it, and they promise support although none of them want to do this. And I know ultimately I need to do this myself and for myself, but it would be helpful to have people along for the ride who are going to be going through the same things I am. Mysaunders
I am starting on 11/30 as well. I got as far as week 2 before and then cheated a little and then fell back into old eating habits. I just finished reading the book "it starts with food". My body is a mess. I felt like the entire book apply to me. I am nervous about starting again but now I will feel wonderful afterwards. Good luck to you!

pyrotek
Hello all!! I am also starting today! I am actually starting over!! I did my original whole 30 about a year ago, and it was an eye opener! I have a new relationship with food, and I no longer have joint pain! My DR noticed during blood tests some numbers were high, so I thought it would be a good time to clean up my diet and see if I can lower the numbers. I was on day 7 when I got the bad news!!! The turkey I have been enjoying all weekend was injected with buttet!!! My mom just let out her secret. I was so careful and had such willpower. EJO We old havebthought....THE TURKEY!!!so here I am ......back to day 1.... word of advice....unless you made or bought it yourself.....BEWARE!!! RoastedVeggiesaretheBest
Starting today too! Excited to eat clean and yummy food. Lucky for me I work from home, so I can avoid all the sugary bombs that were everywhere this time of year at my workplace. Looking forward to my 30 days!
