WildChildGoneGood
Good morning! I'm currently on day 4 of this round of Whole 30. I have done a successful 31 days on Whole 30 earlier this year. I'm not a stranger to the Whole 30 rules, but do have a question... I have a doctor appointment next month. Guaranteed I will get weighed. It will be day 23 of my Whole 30. Do I cover my eyes and ask to not know my weight? LOL How would you handle this? Thanks! GFChris
Stand so your back is facing the number display. Ask them not to tell you the weight.
Administrators ladyshanny Posted November 25, 2015 Administrators Share Posted November 25, 2015 You could also assert your right to not be weighed. Unless you are on some sort of extremely weight specific medication, it is probably not necessary to get weighed.

Beki You laugh, but I have done this very thing. They have it in their records for their purposes and unless it's a problem, I don't need to know. In fact, even if it WAS a problem, I still probably wouldn't need to know the exact number. Let us know what you do! Thanks, -Lauren (GGG)
Britishgal
I've asked doctors, nurses etc to not tell me my weight for over a decade...with the notable exception of my pregnancy. As a longtime eating disorder sufferer (in the past) I simply don't want to know I've never been questioned!
Kimberly22
I've done the "not looking", "refuse to get weighed" and "don't tell me" approaches. My doctor is great too because she knows my love/hate with the scale and will only discuss my weight with me if it is important...even then she can be vauge about it. Also, most of the time my appointments in the afternoon when I've had two meals and scales are not accurate!
ArtFossil
My internist's nurse weighs me. I don't see the recorded weight. I see my internist every six months and It's useful information for sudden or dramatic (and unintended) loss or gain and I don't mind being weighed. She and my doctor never tell me my weight.
