AislingBeatha
Our 21 year old son needs major surgery and it means my reintroduction plans have been thrown up in the air. Day 30 is the Monday, and we will be out of town for 3 days from first thing on the Tuesday supporting him, with no fridge or ability to cook food. I'm trying to think if switching the reintroduction schedule a little will give me more leeway for all the eating out we will have to do. What do people think will give me the most options for eating out (or cold stuff from supermarkets), adding back in dairy or grains?
GFChris
What you might want to consider is eating as close to Whole30 as you can for the 3 days you're away. If you have any ill effects, resume 100% Whole30 eating when you get back until you feel the same way you did on day 31. Then, do formal structured reintro testing at that point.Note that you only need to reintro foods that you'd like to eat again, or for which you're curious about your reaction. It will be difficult to do but you might be able to stay close to on plan when eating out...I am on day 29 and have eaten out twice and just order steak, veggies and green salad with nothing but olive oils and lemon and salt & pepper. Lara bars, compliant trail mix and even Pete's has hard boil eggs now. With some planning you could do it but with the stress of your son's surgery it would be understandable if you cannot. Good luck!
