Vfward6
I've just finished day 11 of my first Whole30 and I'm definitely experiencing an increase in acne. I have always suffered from persistent acne but it has been much better in the past year until now. The breakouts I'm having seem different somehow. I know now from reading some posts here that I'm not drinking enough water but I am wondering if this is common (toxin purging, etc) & will improve or if I should be concerned about a food sensitivity since I'm eating a lot more of certain things (eggs, coconut, & nuts)? (I am also on birth control for endometriosis, in case that matters) It's a bit discouraging but maybe it's just Thanksgiving and being at day 11 that I'm feeling deflated. Any thoughts? TIA. Loulabelle
Skin conditions tend to get worse before they get better. Hang on in there and I hope you will see clearer skin by the end of your 30 days.
jmcbn
Nuts are notorious for causing skin outbreaks when eaten in quantity so if you're eating more than a closed handful every other day I'd suggest that you cut back. One member also found the BPA in the tins of her coconut milk were causing her skin outbreaks so you might also want to check for that... & coconut itself can often be problematic.Cut back on the nuts, check your coconut milk cans, and then ease back on the coconut milk too if you don't start to see improvement.
