Antibiotics while on Whole 30?

Should I stop the Whole 30 and start it again when I've finished my course of antibiotics? I am on Day 19 of my Whole 30 but I had to start a course of antibiotics for a lingering UTI yesterday so am wondering if I should stop the Whole 30 until I finish the course. I held off as long as I could on getting antibiotics because I know that a major goal of the Whole 30 is healing the gut and obviously ABs will affect my gut health but unfortunately I had to take these ABs now as it wasn't getting better.

I did another Whole 30 about 2 years ago and gave up at Day 18 as well because I got sick so I really didn't want to do that again. Is it worth staying the course and finishing this Whole 30 even though I'm on ABs? I have to also say that I'm really not feeling the love this time around with Whole 30. About a week ago, I felt great, had a lot more energy and felt stronger and more positive but since I got sick, I've been feeling crappy and tired again and feel bloated like I haven't lost any weight at all. I loved my Whole 30 first time around but this time I feel like it's just not working so well for me...

You can definitely keep doing your whole30 while on antibiotics. You might want to find some good probiotics to take as well, to help with some of the digestive issues the antibiotics may cause. I think you're supposed to not take them at exactly the same time during the day, but can't remember if there was a specific amount of time to wait between them.

It's pretty understandable that if you're sick, you won't have as much energy and generally won't feel great, but whole30 is still a healthy way to eat, and eating healthy is going to help you get well faster.
