kells2015
Hi Everyone....STILL GOING!! Sorry I haven't been on this in a while, but I am still going and glad to see others are as well. Y'all rock!! So the halfway mark is here! I almost quit over the weekend. Not over anything other than a bad mood and a feeling of why bother! Thank goodness they talk about it in the book as a regular thing. That helped a lot. And one of my friends who just finished gave me some encouragement around that.My biggest issue is feeling very bloated. I guess my body is still adjusting. I am going to try to drink even more water than they say. That definitely seems to help. So not really feeling fantastic, but I am holding strong!! My friend says the last two weeks are definitely the better side of the 30 days, so I think we have some easier days ahead. I don't want to quit before the benefits start. Especially with all the Christmas cookies, caramel corn and egg nog floating around out there...YIKES! It's kind of a relief to just say NO! LisaPT
What a fun log to read! I am a 2nd time round doing whole 30 and on day 23. My first was back in May. I have no intention of stopping for the holidays. I want a continuous whole eating and do not have a stop date in mind yet. The good that comes out of this far outweighs the hard first few days. If you have not tried spaghetti squash yet- get one!!! The yummy noodle really satisfy. I do found meat, compliant marinara, sauteed vegetables on a bed of spaghetti squash noodles. So easy, so delicious and so satisfying!!!!!
LisaPT
Lol found meat!!!! Um....ground meat people, not random meat you find laying on the street!

Angiewhole30ready!
Hi everyone! Sorry i have not been on here much lately! I got strep throat and between that and having to go into work while I was sick I was too tired at night to hop on here. The GOOD news is I while I was sick I had no appetitie at all so it was super easy to be compliant when the thought of food was repulsive lol!! I am feeling MUCH better though now and enjoying my eggs and salmon again. Tonight is a brussel sprout/walnut salad for dinner. Sounds basic but all I have been craving lately is walnuts so I am slipping a few in with dinner and I love my veggies. How is everyone else doing this weekend? raven526
Hi Everyone! Sorry I disappeared last week. I had a huge training for work that just took everything out of me. Still not experiencing any of the "magic" but I've come to be okay with the fact that I will probably be one of those people who don't see any changes happen. Hope everyone has a great day
Honnete365
Yes, I feel like the magic is coming slower this time... I think my skin is getting better and my nose isn't stuff (dairy for me). Really wanted to be done this weekend. I ate literally the same thing breakfast, lunch and dinner every week day last week -- I don't mind eating the same thing, but I feel like I should get more variety. It's just easy during the work week to pack the same thing every day (salad with sardines -- yummm... eating them as I type, in fact)
WholeMama623
I am one that can eat a lot of the same stuff and not be bothered by it. it's much easier this way. LOL.

I cannot eat the same thing twice in one day. That's when I get frustrated. Before this, I was the person who loved experimenting so much that a dinner recipe was rarely made more than twice in one month. Now because of the constant prep for every meal, I usually will eat the same thing in one week, but I can't do it in the same day.
raven526
Good Morning!! Almost time for Christmas! How is everyone preparing for the big day? I'm doing all the apps for Christmas (guac & plantain chips, veggie platter with bearnaise dipping sauce, mixed nuts, & and mini chicken sausages... maybe I'll wrap them in bacon?) WholeMama623
We don't do a lot of prepping, and we just cook as we go! My mom is having a big party on Christmas eve, and Brunch on Christmas day. I'm going to just eat my own food, because I doubt there will be much I can have! Honnete365
I was thinking about making SWYPO banana egg pancakes -- but probably won't bother... I had the WEIRDEST dreams last night -- totally dreams about eating cookies and at several points I woke nearly up and though "oh, ok, I'm in me bed, so I really didn't eat those things -- I didn't really break the whole 30." The dream MIGHT have something to do with the giant box of Christmas cookies homemade from my mother in law that showed up last night. They are one of those "worth it" things that I normally splurge on. Let's hope my husband hasn't eaten them all by the time that I can try one... WholeMama623
I am doing a Whole100 so not near the end yet, but I am 1/3 of the way today. How are you all feeling? Today is the last day!
raven526
Day 31!!! Woohoo!! Guys, we made it!!!! WholeMama, I am in awe of you because right now I cannot see myself doing this for 100 days! You ROCK!!! So the reason I started this, joint pain, is stronger than ever. So off to the doctor for me. I haven't seen him in years so I guess a hello is due. I am falling asleep better but energy levels are still crap. I did lose 4.5 pounds so that's something! Introducing dairy back into my life today. I purchased beer for me to have tonight but I'm not sure I'm gonna drink it.
WholeMama623
Raven, are you eating a lot of peppers, onions, or tomatoes? Nightshades KILL my joints! Just something to consider.
raven526
Nope. Not a fan of peppers nor tomatoes but I ate them during this process like once a week so I could add in some variety. Before whole30, not so much. Onions, really only when I eat steak.
Angiewhole30ready!
Hi everyone! Glad we all made it through Raven sorry to hear about your joint pain. I hope the doctor can help. I am definitely going to continue on past the 30 days. I went away to Boston for 4 days for Christmas and it was so hard to go to so many great restaurants and be 100% compliant. Honestly only Xmas Eve I indulged in a glass of wine with dinner (although I was good about the food). It was nice but alcohol has always been something that makes me feel crappy afterwards and messes up my sleep so I was fine with getting back on the wagon the next day. Still, why does wine have to taste so good? Darn it! I went out to an Italian place with a friend one night and bread was EVERYWHERE!! I asked her if we could have it removed from the table and she said no. OOOOOOOOOOOK. So i just had to ignore it I must say salmon has been my saving grace on this thing. I used to absolutely hate it years ago but but now I can eat it all the time and never get sick of it. I guess because there are so many ways to prepare it. How is everyone else doing?
