beccabee
So I had a banana with coconut butter and cinnamon and then googled afterward and realized that was a really stupid thing to do (I did eat it with my meal). I'm assuming I don't need to start over as all of the foods were compliant but that is probably something I should not do again.
thegoldengrahamgirl
Don't beat yourself up. All of those things are compliant but you're right that the sweet combination is likely to keep you in a mode of wanting desserts/sweet treats. Learn from the experience and move on. A great habit I picked up from one of the other members here is to finish my meal with a few olives. For some reason the salty flavor seems to "close" the meal just as well as "sweet". beccabee
Thanks. Definitely something to think about. I think the coconut butter is a slippery slope for me and I should probably avoid for now. I experienced first hand how you think you'll satisfy a craving with something a little sweet only to find you want more and more...
