kellybelly
Some one is asking about a supplement called skinny gut. The only that is in it is 100% Acacia fiber. Would this be compliant?
GFChris
This product is not appropriate for a Whole30, as it claims to "curb your appetite by helping you feel full." Skip this product and eat meals of protein, vegetables and fat instead. Use the Whole30 and eat meals of nutrient-dense food that satiate you for 4-5 hours. We don't want you curbing your appetite: we want you nourishing your hunger cues.
kellybelly
What if it were someone who needed to have at least 60 grams of fiber per day due to diverticulitis and doesn't want to take Metamucil during their whole30 ( which is what they normally take for extra fiber)
Moderators Tom Denham Posted December 28, 2015 Moderators Share Posted December 28, 2015 A person can get 60 grams of fiber by eating real food. Find the Whole30-compliant foods on a list of high fiber foods like this one - http://greatist.com/health/surprising-high-fiber-foods- and eat. Liking artichoke hearts helps. thegoldengrahamgirl
What if it were someone who needed to have at least 60 grams of fiber per day due to diverticulitis and doesn't want to take Metamucil during their whole30 ( which is what they normally take for extra fiber) I would be shocked if you couldn't get 60g of fiber from eating 9 cups of vegetables per day...(that would be the upper end of the 3 cups of vegetables per meal, three times per day). Not to mention, coconut flesh (in coconut butter and coconut milk) and avocado are quite high in fiber as well, and these healthy fat sources can feature regularly in your meals as well! Hope no one ever needs to go back to Metamucil again! Cheers, -Lauren (GGG)
