Feeling extra bloated day 2

I've been debating even posting this because I don't want to see whiny but I really want to be successful at this so I feel like I should vent my feelings and see if anyone else understands. Today I'm feeling super bloated and blah. Like I want to rip off my stomach. I know its only day 2 and I'm still motivated. Even more so because I look forward to my belly (that I love so much for allowing me to carry two big babies) shrinking and me no longer looking pregnant 19 months postpartum. I'm being cautious not to let this uncomfortable feeling make me restrict my fat or carbs or cause me to be too drastic because that would be miserable and not sustainable for me for 30 days. I have a disorder eating past so I'm approaching this whole 30 in a loving, easy going (still following the rules) way. I look forward to feeling more comfortable in my body. Also I was so tired this afternoon! I keep thinking how good I'll feel eventually...thanks for letting me vent.

Sorry you're not feeling great!  Post the last two days of your food (include portion sizes), fluids etc and we can take a look and see if anything stands out.

Some of the most common offenders are raw veggies, cruciferous veggies like brocoli, cauli, cabbage (double whammy if they are also eaten raw), fizzy water, garlic and onions, nuts, coconut and anything you might be eating more of that you aren't used to.

Give us a peek and we'll see if we can help!

You're doing great! Hang in there :) Don't worry about fat or carbs, try and stick to the template, but don't panic if you're not perfect.

You might want to read through the timeline http://whole30.com/2013/08/revised-timeline/

Not everyone will match the days, it's a rough guideline, but it sure helps you understand the sleepies, the tired and the cranky moments ;)

If you're eating a lot of raw veggies, switching to cooked ones can help with the bloated feeling.

Same goes for the cruciferous family (Cauliflower, broccoli), they produce a little more gas and so can add to the bloated feeling.

I really love this soup when I'm feeling blah or sick http://meljoulwan.com/2012/11/05/silky-gingered-zucchini-soup/

Thank you both! I have eaten broccoli and cauliflower these past few days. Cooked. I have also been having coconut milk (1/4 cup) in my morning coffee. Some raw veg but not too much today. Im hesitant to post what I eat and obsess about it too much and I think it's more that my stomach has fat on it. Lol. But that's one of the reasons I'm doing the whole30. I don't care about scale weight and am easily not weighing myself. The number on the scale doesn't bother me. More how my body feels and looks in my clothing. I think I'll try that soup. I love ️soup!

If you find you have ongoing problems with broccoli, cauliflower and coconut milk, you might want to read up on FODMAPs. Some people are quite sensitive to them, others only have problems in high volume (I have trouble with sky high nightshades, but normal amounts I'm fine).
