cbpickrel
Hello all: I started Whole30 on January 6th and I'm doing well. Here's a list of my BIGGIES so far: My biggest happy moment while prepping for Whole30 was the discovery that coffee and potatoes were not off limits. My biggest whahhh so far is no wine and cheese in the evenings. I miss the routine and comfort of those. My biggest annoyance at this juncture is watching my hubs down a cheeseburger and fries. My biggest accomplishments to date are no cheating and upping my water quotient considerably. My biggest cheerleaders are my family, including my 29 yr old type 1 diabetic son and his wife who started the program January 1st. My biggest goal is to just be disciplined enough to get through all 30 days without cheating. My biggest inspiration is the opening line in the Whole30 book: "It is not hard. Don't you dare tell us this is hard. Quitting heroin is hard. Beating cancer is hard. Drinking coffee black. Is. Not. Hard." My biggest mistake to date was burning pancake scented candles. My biggest personal mantra is, "You got this." I hit the big 50 this past October and just realized it was time to make some lifestyle changes, especially with a family history of heart disease, high cholesterol and pre-type 2 diabetes. This is a great starting point for me and I joined the forums to just gain the extra measure of support. So, hello all. I'm glad to be here.
