Moderators Tom Denham Posted January 12, 2016 Moderators Share Posted January 12, 2016 You may be eating a bit too light. Seriously. How much to eat http://whole30.com/downloads/whole30-meal-planning.pdf
chefjustin85
I get the portionsizes but not really sure what I should add. I don't seem to be to hungry after I eat. Should I add more fat or veggies or proteins?
Carlaccini
When eggs are your sole protein for a meal it should be the number of whole eggs you can hold in one hand without dropping them. For most guys that is at least 4. When greens or salad are the vegetable of choice during a meal it needs to be huge - think about how small the portion would be if you were to cook the greens down. Salads need to be generally HUGE (think mixing bowl size). Sometimes eating this way is an adjustment. I ate 2 eggs for breakfast for the longest time and then I realized that I was feeling hungry mid morning, and during midday. I added 1 more egg and increased my veggies - but I was stuffed and couldn't finish my breakfast very often. So what I decided what to do was eat what I could, and then packed the rest to take with me to eat when I was hungry again - usually 10:30. I did that for about a week and a half - and then I didn't need to do that anymore.
chefjustin85
Ok i get it. I was maybe overthinking about eating to much. 4 eggs won't be a problem for me as a love eggs. and i will increase my veggies. I didn't think about how to the portion of a salad would be if it cooked down but it makes sense.
