lemarygrace
Day 1 was a struggle! I started with a piece of frittata I had made the night before - could not get it down without gagging (I am not an egg person). I ate a banana. Lunch was good, some protein (grilled chicken) spinach salad with almond shreds and carrots with a side of strawberries. Dinner was pretty good as well! I had spaghetti squash with ground beef and Whole30 tomato sauce. I don't usually like spaghetti squash but I didn't even notice it. Day 2 was a little better. I again had just a banana for breakfast as I was not very hungry. Lunch was leftover spaghetti squash, meat, and sauce, which was delicious. I ate it with some apples and strawberries. I had a complete, hysterical breakdown into tears mid-day, which I attribute to the drastic diet change and the fact that I'm currently transitioning onto new medication. Dinner was breakfast - sausage, eggs, and sweet potato home fries. Day 3 was pretty good all around! I had eggs and sausage for breakfast. I wasn't feeling lunch, so I just had a banana and a Larabar (I know I know, it's supposed to be emergency food). I cooked the beef brisket in the afternoon and had some of that for dinner with spinach and carrots and green beans. The brisket was absolutely delicious! I was really happy at the end of the meal, when I realized I was still hungry but wanted more spinach more than I wanted more brisket (this is rare for me). I dreamed that I was sleepwalking and eating hot cheetos in my sleep. In my dream, I woke up and was horrified, hoping it was a dream. I was convinced it was way too real to be a dream, and I was so disappointed. I was happy to wake up this morning and realize it really WAS a dream! On to Day 4 and beyond! lemarygrace
Day 4 was probably the most difficult day so far (but then, each new day seems like the most difficult). I started the day with eggs and an apple for breakfast. At lunch, I had spinach and carrots alongside some leftover beef brisket, with a side of bananas with cinnamon. Dinner was spinach and carrots with 1/2 a baked potato with some leftover brisket piled on top. I had a terrible headache that lasted for hours, which kept me up late last night. It gets better, right??
