JBOX
I've been having foot cramps at night and not sure how I can fix. I'm drinking plenty of water. Do I need to eat a banana?
Moderators SugarcubeOD Posted January 15, 2016 Moderators Share Posted January 15, 2016 You could try that or potato at your last meal of the day... it can be a potassium deficiency, hence the banana/potato suggestion.
praxisproject
Avocados are also a great potassium source
QuilterInVA
Dark leafy greens like spinach, kale, collards, etc. are excellent potassium sources. They are even better than bananas.
QuilterInVA
My husband was on kidney dialysis and for those patients cramps are a huge problem. They told him if he had a cramp to swallow a teaspoon of yellow mustard or a little dill pickle juice and when he did the cramp was gone almost instantly,. Administrators ladyshanny Posted January 15, 2016 Administrators Share Posted January 15, 2016 Make sure you are salting your food too. Sodium and potassium like to hold hands in your body!
