Kristen CNM
I know that honey is on the no list and completely understand the reasons why. Is it still a no go if you are using it medicinally, and not as a sweetener? I have had a horrible cough and sore throat this week, and I know a spoonful of honey will make my throat feel better. Just wondering. Thanks!
Administrators ladyshanny Posted January 15, 2016 Administrators Share Posted January 15, 2016 Sorry, no go on that one. I understand where you're coming from, but still no. Try Throat Coat tea or gargling with warm salt water. You could also try sipping fizzy water as sometimes that "scratchy" feeling brings relief to a sore throat. For the cough, if it's bad, go to the doctor, you don't want to end up with bronchitis!
Kristen CNM
Believe me I have. I work with pregnant women so I needed to be sure I didn't have strep. Taking steroids and antibiotics...which I hate but was desperate. OK, well, I guess I'll be drinking my Gypsy Cold Care tea sans honey. Thank you for the info.
