LizgStoner
I'm on day Six and doing great! I'm going out to eat for the first time tonight and would love some advice. I believe are going to Tazikis. I know I can get a fish dish or a chicken entrée or even a Greek salad with no feta… Any red flags I should make sure I look out for? Thank you so much! laura_juggles
Ask what kind of oils they're using to cook and if there's sugar in their spices.
GFChris
Also need to avoid floured protein or flour in any sauces, sugar, dairy or gluten in any dressings. Broiled and unbreaded protein are your safest bets.
Moderators ultrarunnergirl Posted January 19, 2016 Moderators Share Posted January 19, 2016 Please read this excellent guide: http://whole9life.com/2012/11/dining-out-whole30/ Have the conversation with your server. Otherwise, you will not know by looking at the menu what "should" be safe. Remember, you are paying for this meal and you are not being a bother. You are a customer, willing to work with the kitchen on something that will work without too much trouble for them, and you're entitled to get what you want. You can do this!
