Debwards
Today is day 1 of reintroduction. I had hummus at breakfast (and some black beans and green peas at lunch, very little). Before lunch, my stomach already hurt. Could my breakfast hurt my stomach that quickly, within 3 hours?
Carlaccini
Yep! For example If I consume any seed oils of any kind, especially if it's in the form of margarine or shortening you should see my face literally "light up" with rosacea within a hour - no joke I've watched it happen....... Administrators ladyshanny Posted January 20, 2016 Administrators Share Posted January 20, 2016 Absolutely. Your food goes directly from your mouth into your stomach. If your body is bothered by the legumes there's no reason it wouldn't hurt when they get deposited in there.
laura_juggles
I'm not in my reintro period, but after dinner last night my stomach was not happy. Grumbly and feeling like I needed to go to the bathroom. I had Applegate hot dogs, roasted brussels sprouts and shishito peppers with a little sesame oil drizzled on top, a pickle, 1/4 of an avocado, and a couple little baby white potatoes. The only thing that I hadn't eaten before so far in this Whole30 was the sesame oil. I felt fine this morning. During my reintro, do you think I should try sesame seeds on their own to see if sesame in general bothers me or maybe the oil was just "off"? Carlaccini
It's possible that the oil was off, but it could be possible that you are sensitive to seed oils. During re-intro I would: either try a new bottle of sesame oil and see how that goes and try sesame seeds as a separate reintro.
