reece1932
Hello, Due to unforeseen circumstances, I wasn't able to eat dinner tonight. It is now about two hours before I go to bed. I know we aren't supposed to eat several hours before we go to bed but am wondering which rule wins. Several hour abstinence or having three meals. Would it be a good idea to have a snack instead. I will say that I am only a little hungry. Any guidance is greatly appreciated

Moderators SugarcubeOD Posted January 22, 2016 Moderators Share Posted January 22, 2016 I agree with Wholemama, I would do a mini-meal. Make sure it's two of the three at least of protein, fat and veg... don't go to town on fruit and nuts
Moderators SugarcubeOD Posted January 22, 2016 Moderators Share Posted January 22, 2016 Also, I will say, nutrition is cumulative so don't skimp on breakfast tomorrow or by tomorrow evening, you could be feeling pretty yuck...
Moderators Tom Denham Posted January 22, 2016 Moderators Share Posted January 22, 2016 I finished eating supper at 9 PM last night and was in bed by 10 PM. I woke up at 1:30 AM and had a little trouble getting back to sleep. It seems that getting to sleep is not a problem after eating late. The problem is staying asleep. However, I was successful and slept until my wife's alarm went off at 6:50 AM. The issue with eating late is that it has a tendency to trouble your sleep. If I don't eat, I wake up hungry and have to get up and eat something in the middle of the night.
