wwwoolf
I'm on day 7, have noticed acid reflux very diminished than before whole30 but I am not having bursts of energy and better sleep. So far, I am noticing that most posts seem from people with radical results. But I also realize there are a lot of lurkers or people not on the forum who are not posting less than stellar results. I've had health issues, but normally eat healthy foods with the exception of too much chocolate and baked goods. Anybody out there with some encouragement? The only "slips" I've had have been mistakes after the fact with missing some food boundaries. Like my husband made me some compliant salsa but added a bit of corn which I totally spaced out until couple days later. Only ate the equivalent of a 1/4 cup before I realized the mistake. Not stressing over that; I'm finding staying on track pretty easy and not punishing for the miss, I'll just add a day to the 30. That sounds better than "starting over". I'm not; I'm just extending. Doge1117
I think this is a good one (http://whole30.com/2014/04/tiger-blood/) -- besides to make the point that you are still on day 7 (i.e., hang. in. there....)
GFChris
First off, a gentle reminder that this is a 30 day plan. You're only about 1/4 there. A decision whether to restart after eating off-plan food isn't about inflicting punishment. It's about keeping the common irritants out of your body for 30 consecutive days. http://whole30.com/2014/06/really-start-whole30/ The corn and any other mistakes might account for how you feel. For us to best help you, it would help to get a more complete picture of what your food has looked like. Can you post a few days worth of your meals, including portion sizes, water consumption and any exercise.
kirkor
I've done a lot of Whole30's and I never feel like I activate beast mode. I'm a pretty upbeat and optimistic person in general though. But, this: "...have noticed acid reflux very diminished than before whole30..." is nothing to sneeze at! Take victories where you can, and only compare yourself to yourself.
