caitmac331
I have PCOS and I'm trying to conceive (main reason I want to do Whole30). I cut out sugar, gluten, and any processed or chemical laden foods 6 months ago and I now have a cycle and have lost 10 lbs but am still not ovulating. I wanted to try soy isoflavones and royal jelly to assist ovulation this month, but both of those are out (soy and honey) and was just making sure a licorice root supplement, which supposedly has a similar effect, woud be OK. Moderators Tom Denham Posted September 26, 2012 Moderators Share Posted September 26, 2012 According to Wikipedia, the licorice plant is a legume, so that is a strike against it, but I don't think there is a problem with it as a flavoring. Nothing I read on various sites made me want to use licorice as a medicine, but that's up to you.
