I'm getting the vibe that pumpkin seeds/oil are okay in moderation-but I'm still kinda trying to figure out what "moderation" means? (i'm starting the program today)

And if pumpkin seeds are allowed-I've never tried roasted ones before and I'm curious. Any tips on where to get some?

This one is compliant because of the ingredients:

Ingredients: Organic pumpkin seeds and oil, Celtic Sea Salt

You can get roasted and raw. I tend to buy the raw version only because they're the only compliant ones I found. Nuts and seeds are best in moderation as while they contain a bunch of good things, they are higher in Omega 6 than other fats (nuts and seeds are fat serves), like olive oil and avocado.

Some people find they have more trouble sticking to the portions when nuts and seeds are butters, so try and set some good habits early :)

Pro tip: never eat them from the jar!

Here is another pro tip: If you have never eaten pumpkin seed butter, don't start during a Whole30. We want you eating meat and veggies. Save the exotic stuff for another time. If you do consume pumpkin seed butter, a tablespoon as added fat on some lean chicken or beef or on top of some roasted veggies would be a decent serving.
