ashleyyk
Starting the Whole30, I set a rule for myself to only eat something when I notice the physical signs of hunger. Beforehand, I would eat breakfast because it was habit, just what I always did- same with lunch and dinner. But doing this, I notice I only eat once a day. I don't want to eat if I'm not hungry, but once a day can't be good. Advice?
Moderators Tom Denham Posted February 15, 2016 Moderators Share Posted February 15, 2016 Your hunger signals are not trustworthy. Eating once per day makes a mess of your hormonal rhythms. Begin eating a meal-template sized meal within one hour of waking in the morning and do your best to finish it. Follow this by eating a second meal-template sized meal 4-5 hours later and a third 4-5 hours after that. Add pre-and post-workout food if you exercise vigorously. After you have been following this approach for a while, your hunger signals should recover from their present depressed state.
