NorthernLilly
I feel like post w30 I've been doing ok, but could be doing better. I've kept most of my foods w30 related, but have included some off plan things here and there (chocolate mostly this week and not a ton of it). I'm finding what foods make me feel bloated and determining their worth. Not that I'll totally cut things out, but keep them for special meals. I'll keep this log to help me track it along the way, just might not be in here daily.
NorthernLilly
Was relatively off track this weekend. Had the niece and nephew for the weekend so we ate some foods we knew weren't really bothering us, but in moderation. Shredded chicken tacos Friday night with homemade refried beans and yellow rice. No adverse effect that night or the next morning. Saturday breakfast was fried eggs, hash, and 1 slice of bacon (regular bacon). Lunch, we took them to pizza. First pizza we've had since around Christmas. I limited myself since we weren't too close to home, but was ok for the rest of the day. For dinner, we had roast chicken, sweet potatoes (and mashed white potatoes) and green beans. Had a little dessert that night... gluten free almond roll from a bakery, was quite tasty. Also had my first coffee out, got an iced coffee from the bakery and they had almond milk, which I used. I didn't put in enough of it there so I added a little cashew milk when I got home. Burned my share of calories chasing after the kids at in an door play place Sunday we had pancakes, bacon, eggs. Yes there was also maple syrup. Lunch, I had tuna salad on lettuce - still making my own mayo at this point. Dinner was the same compliant chili I made a few times while doing my W30. It might sound like I went way off the rails, but that is really good considering how our weekends used to be. I was conscious of all my food decisions and paid attention to see if my body was felling me anything.
ThyPeace
Best part was being conscious of all your food decisions, I'd say! Awesome job. And it sounds like a really nice way to spend the weekend. Kids in the house is always a big change! ThyPeace, isn't home-made mayo fantastic? One of many things I like making at home more. NorthernLilly
I'm thankful I'm still mindful of my food decisions. And I pass up food offered not because "I'm trying to lose weight" but because "I don't really want it" - which is a nice change of pace. My weight is mainly maintained, fluctuate 5 pounds (which is normal anyway). But today, a revelation of sorts... I decided to go for a walk, I also had an n urge to run but in my whole life, I haven't liked to run. So I walked down into the dirt road, farther than I usually do - not with hubs for once, but with music in one ear. Granted my right ear started to hurt with the wind, I left my ear bud out of it too long - I was just being safe at the narrow part. Anywho... I decided I needed to go just a little bit farther after I had Rea he'd my house, so I went around the other corner. I actually jogged to a team that of a mile. It's probably the longest distance since 10th grade (if I even jogged that long during the dreaded presidential fitness test). It felt good. I've had this urge lately and I finally gave into it. It took me dropping the 10+ pounds and changing how i eat and my relationship with food to feel better and want to continue to be better. We're planning on doing a little light hiking this spring and late summer. I'm so glad he wants to, as I've been wanting to go up mount major for over 3 years now... guess the same thing it took for me to want to move more it took for him to want to do a hike up a small mountain trail.
