So Delicious Unsweetened Almond Milk

Recommended Posts

Hi there -

I'm 4 days into my Whole30 and I came across Almond Milk that I think is okay. I know it has been posted before (numerous times) but I would like to list the ingredients, as some are worrying me that they may not be Whole30 compliant.

Almond Milk (filtered water, Almonds)

Contains 2% or less of:

Vitamin and Mineral Blend (calcium, Phosphate, Magnesium Phosphate, Vitamin A Acetate, Vitamin D2, L-Selenomethionine (what is this?) [selenium], Zinc Oxide, Vitamin B12, Sea Salt, Natural Flavor, Gellan Guam

Thanks,

Gus

Yes, this is fine.

L-Selenomethionine is a derivative of Selenium which is found in the nuts.

Just to add though it is really easy (& much tastier) to make your own almond milk - the bonus being there'll be no additives of any description to worry about!

I'm about to embark on making my own nut milk. Starting with Almond but you can make any sort (except Peanut for this program). I bought Almond Milk Bag Organic Cotton - Better Design with No Seam Bottom ~$15.85 from Amazon.com & they send you an E-Book via email with detailed instructions with pictures. I'm on week 2 and I've been buying MALK which is good but a little pricey so I'm going to venture with DIY Almond Milk. Good luck!
