Nausea: Recommended Foods?

Hi everyone.  Love these boards!  So many times I've come on here to search something and can generally find an answer but didn't find one for this so I'm hoping someone has some good ideas.

I'm on day 11 today of my first Whole30.  It's been going really well until today.  Pretty sure I've picked up some sort of intestinal virus.  I felt extremely nauseated last night going to bed and it's worse today. Barely got my kiddos off to school and my entire day is scrapped as I'm pretty sure I'm going to be in bed all day.

Normally I'd nurse myself with some Vitamin Water or some chicken broth later.

Obviously I can't have the Vitamin Water and I haven't been able to find a compliant chicken broth at my local Wegmans.

Right now the idea of putting anything in my mouth is totally unappealing but I know I should have something by the end of the day.  Looking for recommendations on 1)  What to eat once I feel like I can and 2) Anyone know of a compliant chicken broth I may be able to find at Wegmans if I send my hubby out later?

TIA!

For eating, try things like potatoes or sweet potatoes, scrambled eggs, plain chicken. You might also try ginger or peppermint teas, they can sometimes help with nausea.

Chicken broth, I'm not sure what to tell you. You really just have to read labels. Could you get him to pick up a whole, raw chicken and some vegetables and make you chicken soup? Here's a recipe: http://dishesanddustbunnies.com/old-fashioned-chicken-soup-from-scratch-using-a-whole-chicken/

If your local store has compliant rotisserie chicken, you could start with that, but they can be hard to find.

Thanks so much.  To make matters more challenging, I realized it's a Friday during Lent so I can't have any meat.  Ack.  I will save that chicken soup recipe though because that looks great for another day.

Going to try and get by sipping the vegetable broth I found that is compliant and try a banana later.

I'm not an expert and still learning as I go, but I got really nauseous on day 8 &9 and I think it was something to do with not enough carbs or water or both... I was sitting at work feeling so sick so I ran to get a coconut water and that helped a ton. Today I'm on day 12 and haven't been nauseous since but have been more conscious of my carb intake.
