maxiesemma
I'm new to Whole30. I am starting tomorrow - going to the grocery store today for my first Whole 30 shopping trip. I'm feeling overwhelmed by the amount of food and prep but I'm also tired of where I am - overweight, low energy - and hope to find a way of living/eating that will help me. TerraZ
I am starting tomorrow too! I have done a handful of whole30's but only have made it the full 30 days once. I am also feeling overweight and low energy.
maxiesemma
Thank you for replying! I have been anxious and overwhelmed with everything. I see it won't be easy. I already blew it by smoking then I saw the ghee I bought from trader Joe's has milk in it! I figure if nothing else it'll be a practice run. Heidii72
Hello Maxiesemma, I'm also starting today! My girl friend from work and I have done many wellness challenges (some successful and some not so) and are both tired of the way we feel during and after them. We've both studied Whole30 and were so excited to start, that we moved our start date up to today, from next Friday. Shopping done, cupboard clean out complete (my parents loved all my freebies) and the refrigerator is clearly marked with items that are "off limits" for me (my daughter and husband will be here to support me but are not participating). Here's to Day #1! May the force be with us both!
SimoneGray
Hi all! Today is my day one on Whole 30. This is my first round. I've already cut out alcohol but realized I've upped my sugar/chocolate intake as a result. Sigh. I've planned my meals one week and advance. I cut out my morning coffee since I enjoy it with sugar and half and half. I'll stick to green tea. It's still the morning for me, so far, so good. Good luck everyone! maxiesemma
Heidii72, good luck also! I feel a bit better, less stressed. I love the tomato sauce. It's labor intensive but I hope it will get easier with practice. SimoneGray, I thought I would have trouble without sweetener in my coffee but it's not that bad. I also don't miss whatever stomach issues I had from milk and half and half.

SimoneGray
Hi Maxiesemma! Bummer about your headache and feeling emotional. That makes it tough. I'm trying a new veg that I've only had a few times in my life and I'm finding I actually like it! Roasted brussel sprouts w/ghee, salt and pepper. I put balsamic after I took it out of the oven. I've been struggling with a daily headache for a week now but mine is likely due to allergies because everything is blooming like crazy here. I'm hoping my headache doesn't get doubly worse as we head into the "kill all the things" days. Simone
