Started the day shopping, eating eggs and avocado. Got hungry at 11 and ate some potatoes and almonds and an apple. Wondering if my green tea habit (now without honey!) is going to make me too hungry by speeding up my metabolism and if I am not eating carbs to slow it down, this might be too much for me.

So shopping came before food? We want you to eat within one hour of waking in the morning. Doing so is the best thing you can do for establishing healthy hormonal rhythms. 

 

So meal 1 was protein and fat. You needed veggies. A plate full of veggies.

 

So meal 2 was veggies, fat, and fruit. You need protein as the base of every meal. Never less than a portion as big as the palm of your hand.

 

Green tea may make you feel zippy as the caffeine hits, but it is not going to increase the speed of your metabolism in any meaningful way. Carbs will not slow your metabolism.

Thanks for reading my log Tom! It is great to get feedback. I will try to be more specific when I write about time etc, (I did eat breakfast first thing!) as people are actually reading this, which is great.

Lunch was a plate of uncured ham w veggies and the other half of that avacado. I plan to make fish soup w. kale for dinner tonight.
