Guest
I'm on day 13, and I've been doing really well. Feeling awesome now I'm over the initial rage and constant hunger. However this morning I found out that my usual iced americano is made with sugar syrup (whattt!!!) So I'm going to have to restart and I'm pretty bummed out about it, as it wasn't an intentional sabotage unlike when I've fallen off the whole30 wagon beforehand. LucieB
Repeat to yourself "I've been doing really well." Just like you said above. Because it's true! You made a mistake. We all make them. Be kind to yourself by focusing on the great choices and progress you've made so far, what you've learned, and what you're yet to achieve!
LindaC
I so feel your pain! On day 27 I realized the Yogi bedtime tea I had been having every night contained stevia leaf which is a no-no. Restarted the next day and then on day 20, my husband had been shopping at Whole Foods and bought cashews and didn't realize he had picked up barbecue flavored cashews. I had eaten a few and thought, wow these taste different-he must have bought salted nuts and when I checked---barbecue cashews and of course one ingredient was sugar. This time though I've elected not to start over because I do plan on continuing to eat this way. But I do want to add try and oatmeal back and do not want to wait another 30 days! praxisproject
A restart is never a failure if you learn something. Reading labels is a hassle, but it's worth it. Some labels are really sneaky in layout, hiding the bad things but wrapping the list around the package or using weird words. There's plenty of tea-rage on the forums, stevia, soy, weird stuff that doesn't belong in tea! Thinking about a restart? Read this http://whole30.com/2014/06/really-start-whole30/ Some people prefer to add days on the end (eg. Whole50) rather than start numbering back on Day 1, it's the same thing, but it feels different for many.
