Diarrhea for days

Hi all,

I'm on day 24 and have been having some crazy awful diarrhea. It started about a week ago.  At first it was just very loose stool when I had to poop (once or twice a day) but now in the past two days it has morphed into emergency situations. Like, at Target and needing to drop everything and frantically find the bathroom. This is happening 2-3 times  day.  I tried to wait it out, hoping it was just my body adjusting to the new stuff.  I generally had normal stools before starting whole30.

On top of this I've had broncchitis for the past two weeks so I've been tired and low energy and feeling pretty crappy. But still sticking to the plan, gosh darn it.

My first week and half on Whole30 was great. I was feeling great, energy was up, mood was improved. My skin has also cleared up (chronic acne for most of my life) and my acid reflux is no where to be seen.

I'd almost take the acne and acid relfux back over this diarrhea though.

I've read a lot of forum posts on this topic but I'm still confused and don't know what to do. I so wanted whole30 to work for me but I'm feeling so discouraged.

This is a normal day for me:

meal 1: Two fried eggs in ghee with prosciutto and seasoned red potatoes. Or a scramble with three eggs and chicken sausage and veggies. 2 cups of black coffee. Usually some fruit like a banana or some pineapple. If I'm really rushed it'll just be fruit and nuts.

meal 2: leftovers from the night before. I've cooked almost exclusively from the whole30 book.  I've done beef roast with squash and root vegetables, meat spaghetti sauce with spaghetti squash, tuna salad with whole30 mayo, the chicken chowder, frittata. Some tea like peppermint or decaf chai.

I usually snack at 3 or 4pm, thought I know that's not reccomended. Usually 10 olives and a larabar, or some berries and a larabar. (I've probably been eating too many larabars) I usually always have tea at this point too.

Meal 3: See meal 2. Or if I'm crunched on time or ingredients: two eggs and prioscutto and potatos and fruit.

Please, any feedback is helpful!!! I've seen some really great results from this program but the gastric distress is taking away from all of them.

Nuts are difficult to digest and can cause diarrhea. So when you are in a hurry, you eat nuts and fruit for breakfast. And you are eating larabars every day. Larabars are nut bars. Eliminate all nuts and all larabars and you might be okay. It is okay to take an over-the-counter anti-diarrhea medicine for short-term relief.

Now let's get real about what you are doing. We tell you that larabars are okay only as emergency food, but you are declaring an emergency every day at 3 or 4 pm! You are undermining your Whole30 on a daily basis. You deserve better.
